Pocketstories No. 2 — Oyster Shell is an original dimensional artwork from my Pocketstories Little Adventure, where a found treasure becomes the center of a painted folk-inspired story.
This piece is painted in watercolor with ink pen and pencil details on 140 lb Arches cold press watercolor paper, then mounted to acid-free matboard. A one-of-a-kind oyster shell is mounted at the center of the composition.
Details:
- Original artwork
- Watercolor, ink pen, and pencil
- 140 lb Arches cold press watercolor paper
- Mounted on acid-free matboard
- Finished size: 8.75 × 11.75 in
- One-of-a-kind found oyster shell included and mounted
- Signed
- Frame not included
Framing: Because this piece has depth from the mounted found object, I recommend professional framing with spacers or a shadowbox-style frame so the artwork and shell are protected without being pressed against the glazing.
A note about the found treasure: Each Pocketstories piece includes a one-of-a-kind found object that is part of the original artwork and cannot be replaced with an identical match. I pack these pieces very carefully, but if the trinket is damaged in transit while the artwork itself arrives safely, I’ll provide a small partial refund for the found object. You can then leave the center as-is or add a found treasure of your own.
Shipping: Please allow up to 5–7 business days for your original artwork to be carefully packed and prepared for shipment. Orders are shipped once each week via USPS Ground Advantage. Shipping is currently available within the United States only. Tracking will be emailed once your order ships.
Lost or damaged orders: If your Pocketstories artwork arrives damaged, please contact me within 3 days of delivery and include photos of the artwork, the found object, the packaging, and the shipping label. Please keep all packaging until the issue is resolved. If the package appears to be lost in transit, please contact me so I can help investigate it with USPS. Because these are one-of-a-kind originals, damaged or lost artwork cannot be replaced with an identical piece.
A quick note: Because this is hand-painted and dimensional, you may see small pencil lines, stray marks, paint blooms, paper texture, and other little signs of the making process. Colors are photographed as accurately as possible, but screens can shift things a bit, so the original may vary slightly in person.
