The MUST-HAVE supply list is what I have on my table all the time so be sure you have them handy! If you want class-specific supplies or books I mention, I have added a shopping list for you, too! Please note, the class-specific list is subject to change or additions up to two-weeks prior to class because sometimes I find something better or really cool to weave into my watercolor magic!

CREATIVE ESSENTIALS

All of my classes require the following supplies (creative essentials)

  • Artist-grade watercolors (pan or tube)*
  • Watercolor-only brushes*
  • Artist-grade paper (140 lb., cold press)*
  • Mechanical Pencil (.3 mm lead) and white vinyl eraser*
  • white ink marker (fineline)*
  • Mixing palette with wells (or Lap-size white erase board if you prefer)*
  • Clear Jar/clean water
  • Paper towels
  • Table Salt
  • Optional but often handy: ruler, white artist tape and glue, scraps of patterned paper, and a paper trimmer or scissors

CLASS-SPECIFIC SUPPLIES

The following Daniel Smith Paint Colors are used for the limited palettes over the course of the five lessons but feel free to substitute what you have on your current palette! In addition to the paints, you’ll find links to the supplies or books I have mentioned or used in the videos. Again, I always suggest using what you have on hand while you watch through the videos for the first time, then reviewing this list again to see what you can’t live without! In addition to my CREATIVE ESSENTIALS, I will be playing with following brand-specific supplies. Please keep in mind that I ALWAYS suggest watching the videos and using what you have on hand before purchasing additional supplies. This list is subject to change until December 22, 2017

  • Daniel Smith Tube Watercolors | I will be using a TON of different colors! Please use what you have and I’ll mention color names as I use them. You can substitute with your own or purchase them.  Totally up to you and how much you 1) love the color and 2) like to collect supplies! 🙂
  • Daniel Smith Stick Watercolor | White
  • Faber-Castell Pitt Pens | These come in all shapes, sizes and colors! I will be using the large Pitt Pens with brush tips as well as the fineline and small brush markers in a variety of colors. These are India Ink pens.
  • Faber-Castell Watercolor Pencils
  • Uni-Posca 1mm white paint marker
  • Flexible Ruler
